The 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor delivers all the high-tech safety and advanced reliability and toughness as the standard F-150 while providing an extra something for fans of off-road driving. For the 2019 model year, Ford gave the F-150 Raptor upgrades that include features such as new shocks, Recaro seats, a Trail Control system, and a brand-new adaptive off-road suspension for improved confidence when driving.
Similar to the Fox Racing shock absorbers already found on previous iterations of the F-150 Raptor trim, the Fox Racing Shox Live Valve suspension automatically adapts damping force at each corner for increased driving refinement on rough terrain. Ride-height sensors assist in this process by monitoring information about the terrain and feeding it to the Raptor’s onboard computer. How the system functions can be adjusted by selecting different drive modes, such as Normal, Sport, or Off-Road.
This adaptive suspension allows the Ford F-150 Raptor to have a more rigid ride on the road to reduce body roll, while allowing it to be more flexible on rocky ground. The F-150 Raptor upgrades even include a Jump mode for the suspension which allows the truck to lessen the shock of impact when the front tires are off the ground. In addition to all the other cool stuff the 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor will offer, it’s obvious this truck is one of the most capable off-road trucks on the market.
