Here Are the Latest Details on the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500

The new 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 will be powered by what Ford has dubbed “the most power- and torque-dense supercharged V8 in the world.” Specifically, that engine is the 5.2-liter supercharged V8, which cranks out 760 horsepower and 625 lb-ft of torque — yes, really. This totally street-legal Mustang will launch from 0 to 100 mph and then brake back to 0 in just 10.6 seconds. Go ahead and pick your jaw up off the floor; we’ll wait.

The engine is paired to a Tremec seven-speed dual-clutch transmission for optimally timed shifts and precise control.

According to The News Wheel, the 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 performance beast will boast five advanced driving modes, allowing you to cater the Mustang’s performance to your specific needs, based on driving conditions, road conditions, weather conditions, etc. Specifically, these modes can alter the Mustang’s stability control, shift points, steering, ride dampening, and throttle response.

“Every aspect of the Shelby GT500 driving experience changes with the mode — be that the throttle responsiveness and snap of the shifts you feel in the seat of your pants, or the ‘pop and burble’ of the exhaust in performance modes. It’s a full multisensory visceral experience,” explained Pat Morgan, powertrain manager for Ford Performance.

It won’t be long before the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is available for purchase at Midwest Ford. Ford has promised dealerships this amazing pony car by this fall.

Ford’s Chariot Expansion

In the days of ride-sharing services, it’s hardly surprising that Ford would join in on the innovation. Ford’s Chariot is a shuttle service that makes commuting easier than ever.

Ford’s Chariot

Chariot is an intelligent and luxurious ride service that operates daily shuttles between workplaces and residential areas. It’s similar to a bus in its operation, but even more peaceful on the inside. Each shuttle is a 14-seat Ford Transit van, making for optimal comfort. Every van is equipped with a Wi-Fi hotspot, making it easy to stay connected even on your commute.

Chariot was initially founded in September 2016 and has since been expanded. In the past month, Chariot has expanded to Columbus, Ohio, and even across the pond to London! While it’s not in Kansas just yet, you can bet that Chariot’s services will continue to expand. But until that happens, we can always provide you with your own chariot here at Midwest Ford.

In fact, Ford recently announced a commitment to build an “open smart city platform.” Various transportation networks will be connected across cities and will begin crossing into each other. Ford is also looking into making self-driving cars available to various ride services, making for an advanced and transportation-friendly world.
