Everyone loves a summer blockbuster and this year, dealerships across the country are preparing for an exciting one — the limited-edition Mustang Bullitt. This 480-horsepower Mustang will pay homage to the classic 1968 film by the same name starring Steve McQueen.
In “Bullitt,” McQueen drives a Highland Green 1968 Mustang GT fastback. The 2019 special edition will be available in the same iconic green color and offers a classic cue ball shifter. It bundles together the GT Premium and Performance packages to deliver an impressive punch.
“The new Bullitt will be every bit as cool and charismatic as the original ’68 Mustang,” said Corey Holter, Ford car group marketing manager. “Since its introduction earlier this year, Ford dealers have been fielding calls from customers wanting to know when they can order this unique piece of automotive history.”
Along with the Dark Highland Green color, Shadow Black is also available. Other exterior highlights include chrome accents for the front black grille and windows and 19-inch aluminum wheels with red Brembo™ brakes.
Inside, details are kept to a minimum with green accent stitching on the leather-trimmed dashboard, seats, center console, and door panels. The 2019 Mustang Bullitt will go on sale this summer, but you can place your order online today.
