If you’ve been enjoying your free trial of FordPass™ Connect services, you’ll be happy to know that Ford has decided to make these services complimentary. It is ending its subscription program and will be the first full-line automaker to offer these remote services for free.
“This approach truly sets us apart in the industry,” says Jason Sprawka, director, customer experience manager. “We know that keeping our customers connected and engaged is key to building a deeper relationship with them.”
FordPass™ Connect gives you access to certain features on your Ford vehicle, no matter where you are. You can start the engine, lock and unlock the doors, and even locate your vehicle on a map. These newly free services should be a big bonus for customers and may even draw in shoppers from competing brands. Other brands offer similar services for as much as $14.99 a month.
One especially beneficial safety feature that comes with FordPass™ Connect is 911 Assist. With 911 Assist, your Ford vehicle will use its SYNC® technology to automatically notify emergency responders if you are involved in an accident, connecting through your phone and sending out your GPS coordinates if your airbags deploy.
FordPass™ was first introduced in 2016 and has grown in popularity each year. Currently, more than 1.5 million owners use the service. Visit us here at Midwest Ford to learn more about this convenient and practical technology.
